This study aims to examine the integrated learning strategies applied by ustadz/ustadzah at TPQ Hafidz Hafidzah Auladul Jannah in overcoming obstacles to Qur’an memorization. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through technique triangulation, namely interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that students faced dualistic obstacles, namely internal obstacles in the form of forgetfulness, difficulty with mutasyabihat verses, drowsiness, and laziness, as well as external obstacles in the form of busy schedules and varying levels of family support. To overcome these obstacles, TPQ Hafidz Hafidzah Auladul Jannah synergizes two main strategies. First, the Murottal and Tikrar methods are used to strengthen long-term memory consolidation, build discipline, and enhance emotional appreciation (wijdaniyah) through rhythm. Second, the Kauny Quantum Memory method utilizes kinesthetic movements as multisensory mnemonics that connect the meaning of verses, making it effective in overcoming interference from similar verses (mutasyabihat) and physiological fatigue through physical activity. The conclusion of this study affirms that this integrated learning model is an adaptive and holistic pedagogical response because it not only improves memorization quality (mutqin) but also supports the formation of Akhlaqul Karimah character in accordance with the institution’s vision. The implications of this study indicate that integrative strategies can serve as an adaptive tahfidz learning model in improving the quality of students’ memorization.
Nur Afika Zalzabila, Nurfadillah Dillah, Nurul Magfirah, Nurul Hikmah, Nurul Qalbi, Besse Mutmainnah, Indo Santalia ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6231 Sun, 01 Nov 2026 00:00:00 +0800 Makna Hijrah dalam Caption Instagram: Analisis Dramaturgi antara Ekspresi Spiritual dan Pencitraan Diri https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6200
This study is motivated by the increasing use of the term hijrah in Instagram captions, which indicates a shift in meaning from a personal spiritual concept to a public expression in the digital space. This study aims to analyze how the meaning of hijrah is constructed on the Instagram platform and to reveal the relationship between spiritual expression and self-image. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical type. Data were collected through non-participant observation and documentation of Instagram captions containing hijrah narratives, and were supported by a literature review of journal articles published in the last five years. The data were analyzed using discourse analysis with Erving Goffman’s dramaturgical theory approach to identify front-stage and back-stage representations. The results show that the meaning of hijrah in Instagram captions is formed through two main tendencies, namely as a spiritual expression that reflects self-reflection and closeness to God, and as a self-image strategy through impression management in the digital public space. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that hijrah on social media is understood not only as a process of religious transformation but also as a social practice involving negotiation between religious values and the need for public recognition. The implications of this study contribute to the development of the sociology of religion, particularly regarding digital religiosity and the representation of religious identity on social media.
Helga Juliya, Khairunnisa Khairunnisa, Misbah Misbah, Desi ErawatiErawati ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6200 Sun, 01 Nov 2026 00:00:00 +0800 Tradisi Mubir Asyura sebagai Media Internalisasi Nilai-Nilai Pendidikan Agama Islam di Gubuk Rempung, Pringgasela, Lombok Timur https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6274
Religious traditions play an important role as a medium for internalizing Islamic Religious Education values in community life, including through the Mubir Asyura tradition, which is carried out every month of Muharram in Gubuk Rempung, Pringgasela, East Lombok. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Mubir Asyura tradition and explain its role as a medium for internalizing Islamic Religious Education values. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the Mubir Asyura tradition is carried out through several stages, namely food preparation, communal cooking, religious study sessions, dhikr, collective prayer, and food distribution to the community. This tradition plays a role in instilling the values of faith, morality, and muamalah, which are reflected in gratitude to Allah SWT, togetherness, sincerity, social care, mutual cooperation, kinship ties, and mutual assistance among residents. The conclusion of this study affirms that the Mubir Asyura tradition functions not only as a local cultural heritage but also as an educational means of shaping the religious and social character of the community. These findings contribute to the development of Islamic Religious Education studies based on local wisdom and strengthen understanding of the role of religious traditions in internalizing Islamic values within society.
Haliza Sopiani, Muhammad Taisir, Hairul Hidayah ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6274 Sun, 01 Nov 2026 00:00:00 +0800 Pencegahan Perilaku Cyberbullying melalui Tahapan Stimulus Control dalam Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMA Muhammadiyah 10 Surabaya https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6284
The prevalence of cyberbullying behavior among students indicates a crisis of digital etiquette that urgently needs to be addressed systematically through an approach rooted in the values of Islamic Religious Education. Conventional approaches, which tend to be normative and persuasive, are considered not to have fully addressed the root of the problem, particularly students’ inability to manage provocative digital stimuli independently and sustainably. This study aims to describe the application of the stages of stimulus control in Islamic Religious Education learning as a strategy for preventing cyberbullying behavior among students at SMA Muhammadiyah 10 Surabaya. This study used a qualitative approach with an exploratory case study design. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The results show that the systematic application of five stages of stimulus control, namely discriminative stimulus identification, discrimination training, contingency reinforcement, stimulus fading, and stimulus generalization, integrated with the values of Islamic Religious Education, was able to form students’ habituation of Islamic digital ethics. The novelty of this study lies in the desecularization of Skinner’s behaviorist theory through the internalization of the concept of muraqabah as an internal reinforcement mechanism. Thus, this study contributes to the development of an Islamic Religious Education-based cyberbullying prevention model that is oriented not only toward behavioral change but also toward spiritual meaning in shaping students’ Islamic digital ethics.
Azmi Izuddin, Akhtim Wahyuni, Irfan Tamwifi ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6284 Sun, 01 Nov 2026 00:00:00 +0800 Manajemen Peningkatan Mutu Sumber Daya Manusia Guru dalam Meningkatkan Kualitas Pendidikan di SMA Negeri 1 Pamekasan https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6287
Teacher human resource quality improvement management is an important aspect of efforts to improve the quality of education in schools. This study aims to analyze teacher human resource quality improvement management in improving the quality of education at SMA Negeri 1 Pamekasan. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach involving the principal, vice principal for curriculum affairs, teachers, and school documentation as data sources. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. This study aims to analyze the strategies used by the Aqidah Akhlak teacher to cultivate empathic compassion as a bullying prevention strategy and to identify the obstacles and solutions encountered in this process at Madrasah Aliyah Tarbiyatul Mustafid Narmada. A qualitative descriptive phenomenological design was employed, involving one Aqidah Akhlak teacher, one guidance and counseling teacher, and one perpetrator–victim pair from class XI.1 as key cases selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, supported by triangulation of sources, techniques, and time to ensure credibility. The findings reveal three mutually reinforcing strategies: communicative value-based lectures, case-based reflective group discussions, and role play with guided reflection. These strategies activated perspective-taking in the perpetrator, consistent with Martin L. Hoffman’s moral empathy theory. The study concludes that cultivating empathic compassion plays a critical role in shifting how students interpret and respond to bullying. However, its effectiveness remains constrained by time limitations, peer group pressure, and limited parental involvement, indicating the need for broader ecosystem-based interventions. This study contributes to the literature on Islamic moral education and bullying prevention by demonstrating the role of empathic compassion in strengthening students’ moral awareness and prosocial responses, while also opening opportunities for future multisite and mixed-methods research.
Fitri Syawal Johandi, Syukri Syukri, Erlan Muliadi ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6300 Sun, 01 Nov 2026 00:00:00 +0800 Pemahaman dan Implementasi Konsep Menghormati Guru dalam Kitab Ta‘līm al-Muta‘allim di Pondok Pesantren Al-Halimy https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6314
Character formation in Islamic education, particularly respect for teachers as part of the ethics of seeking knowledge, is an important aspect of developing students’ morals. However, in the current educational context, the implementation of this value still faces challenges due to social change and technological development that influence students’ behavior. This study aims to describe the concept of respecting teachers in the book Ta‘līm al-Muta‘allim and analyze its implementation in the daily lives of students at Al-Halimy Islamic Boarding School. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach involving ustaz/ustazah, administrators, and students selected purposively. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through the stages of data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the concept of respecting teachers in the book Ta‘līm al-Muta‘allim is understood as noble character manifested through politeness, tawadhu’, obedience, and good ethics toward teachers. Its implementation is evident in students’ daily behavior, such as showing respect for teachers, maintaining discipline in learning, and obeying teachers’ directions. Nevertheless, the implementation of this value has not been fully optimal because some students remain inconsistent in maintaining proper etiquette toward teachers. This study affirms that the book Ta‘līm al-Muta‘allim plays an important role in shaping the understanding and practice of respect for teachers in the Islamic boarding school environment. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of strengthening character education through exemplary conduct, habituation, and continuous supervision in developing students’ etiquette in Islamic boarding schools.
Nuzhatul Laily, Emawati Emawati, M. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the active learning model in PAI learning based on the perspective of Vygotsky’s constructivism and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This study used a qualitative approach with a field research design involving PAI teachers and Grade X students as research subjects selected purposively. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which includes data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the implementation of active learning was carried out through group discussion, question-and-answer, presentation, information search, case study, and card sort strategies. The implementation of this model is aligned with Vygotsky’s constructivism, particularly through the concepts of the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) and scaffolding, which emphasize collaboration, social interaction, and learning assistance. The research findings show that active learning supports increased student engagement, material comprehension, critical thinking skills, communication skills, and cooperation in PAI learning. The supporting factors for implementation include the availability of learning technology facilities, the use of digital media, and positive social interaction among students, whereas the inhibiting factors include limited facilities and infrastructure, low self-confidence among some students in expressing opinions, and classroom management that is not yet optimal. The conclusion of the study affirms that the active learning model from the perspective of Vygotsky’s constructivism plays an important role in creating active, contextual, collaborative, and meaningful PAI learning. The implications of this study provide theoretical contributions to the development of constructivism-based PAI learning studies, as well as practical implications for teachers in designing learning strategies that are more participatory and responsive to students’ learning needs.
Sri Panca Aryaningsih, Saparudin Saparudin, Emawati Emawati ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6321 Sun, 01 Nov 2026 00:00:00 +0800 Spiritual Burnout in Islamic Education: Examining Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah's Thoughts on the Psychology of Indonesian Muslim Students https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6276
Spiritual burnout among Muslim students reflects a crisis of spiritual motivation that, in Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah’s thought, is closely related to the weakening and disorder of the soul. This study investigates Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah’s concept of spiritual psychology, with particular attention to ghaflah, qasāwat al-qalb, ḥayāt al-qalb, and tazkiyat al-nafs. A qualitative approach with a figure thought analysis design was employed. The research corpus consisted of Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah’s writings, with six primary works selected as the main sources of analysis. The researcher served as the main research instrument, and the data were analyzed through a multilayered model integrating four analytical approaches. The findings identify eight major psychological constructs related to spiritual burnout and formulate the “Four-Layer Therapeutic Model of Ibn Qayyim” (Al-ʿIlāj al-Rubāʿī) as a conceptual framework for spiritual recovery. The study also shows that Ibn Qayyim’s thought offers an alternative Islamic education paradigm, particularly through the Integral Education Model developed in Miftāḥ Dār al-Saʿādah, and proposes a spiritual early detection model based on qalb indicators. The study concludes that spiritual burnout among Muslim students is a multidimensional crisis that requires an integrative framework combining spiritual diagnosis, purification of the soul, and educational transformation. This research contributes to Islamic education and Islamic psychology by reconstructing Ibn Qayyim’s spiritual psychology as a theoretical basis for understanding and addressing spiritual burnout. Future research is recommended to develop and validate an Ibn Qayyimian Spiritual Burnout Scale as an empirical assessment instrument.
Daniel Desta Avia Difaputra Purnomo ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6276 Sun, 01 Nov 2026 00:00:00 +0800 Pengaruh Model Realistic Mathematics Education Berbantuan e-Modul MiM terhadap Hasil Belajar Matematika Kelas V SD https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6359
The low mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students, particularly on the abstract topic of fractions, require contextual and technology-integrated pedagogical solutions. However, previous research findings have not yielded consistent conclusions regarding the effects of these two technologies on critical thinking skills, while studies interpreting them through Paulo Freire’s critical education perspective remain limited. This study aims to analyze the partial and simultaneous effects of AI use and social media use intensity on Generation Z’s critical thinking skills and to interpret the results from Paulo Freire’s perspective. The study employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey design involving 100 Generation Z respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using an online questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. The findings indicate that AI use had no significant partial effect on critical thinking skills (p = 0.416), nor did the intensity of social media use (p = 0.198). Simultaneously, the two variables also had no significant effect on critical thinking skills (p = 0.435) and explained only 1.7% of the variation in these skills (R² = 0.017). These findings are consistent with Paulo Freire’s thought, which positions dialogue, reflection, and praxis as the primary elements in developing critical thinking skills rather than technology alone. This study concludes that AI and social media are not direct determinants of critical thinking skills but rather learning tools whose benefits depend on how users utilize, evaluate, and reflect on information. Theoretically, this study enriches educational research in the digital era by integrating Freire’s critical education perspective. Practically, these findings emphasize the importance of reflective learning, information verification, and dialogical methods in developing Generation Z’s critical thinking skills.
Zulva Zakiyah Mustofa, Ahmad Barizi ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6531 Sun, 01 Nov 2026 00:00:00 +0800 Adopsi Asesmen Autentik di Era Kurikulum Merdeka: Studi Kasus pada Guru SDN Larangan Selatan 3 https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6534
Although authentic assessment plays an important role in improving the quality of learning evaluation and supporting the achievement of the Pancasila Student Profile, studies on its adoption at the elementary school level in the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka remain limited. This study aims to describe the process by which teachers adopt authentic assessment in implementing the Kurikulum Merdeka. The study employed a qualitative approach with an instrumental single-case study design. The participants comprised six individuals: a Physical Education, Sports, and Health teacher, an Islamic Religious Education teacher, fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-grade teachers, and a curriculum coordinator, who were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and a review of teaching module documents. The findings indicate that teachers’ conceptual understanding of authentic assessment was relatively good, but gaps remained between the stated equitable distribution of training and the actual conditions in the field, as well as between planning in teaching modules and its implementation in the classroom. The adoption process occurred gradually through planning, assessment implementation in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, and the use of instruments that were still dominated by checklists. Its implementation faced constraints related to limited time, administrative workload, external factors, and the need to accommodate student differences. This study concludes that authentic assessment has been adopted, but further strengthening is still required in the development of high-quality rubrics, the use of portfolios, and the more systematic implementation of affective assessment. These findings emphasize the importance of continuing professional development through technical training in instrument development, strengthened clinical supervision by school principals, the provision of instrument banks by the government, and reduced administrative workloads so that teachers can develop higher-quality assessments.
Okta Rosfiani, Dermawansyah Nur Ali Akbar, Albina Firly Rajbani, Cecep Maman Hermawan ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6534 Sun, 01 Nov 2026 00:00:00 +0800 The Relationship between Self-Confidence and Analytical Thinking Skills of Fifth-Grade Elementary School Students Regarding Two-Dimensional Shapes https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6547
Although self-confidence and analytical thinking are both essential to higher-order learning, limited research has examined their relationship in elementary mathematics, particularly in the context of two-dimensional shapes. This study aimed to determine the relationship between self-confidence and analytical thinking skills among fifth-grade students at SDN 86 Singkawang during mathematics learning on two-dimensional shapes. A quantitative correlational design was employed, involving 54 students selected through total sampling. Data were collected using a self-confidence questionnaire and an essay test measuring analytical thinking skills. The instruments were subjected to validity testing before administration, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Kolmogorov–Smirnov normality test, Spearman’s rank correlation, and the coefficient of determination with SPSS version 17. The findings indicate that students’ self-confidence was in the high category, with a mean score of 41.45, whereas their analytical thinking skills were in the moderate category, with a mean percentage of 55.66%. Spearman’s rank analysis demonstrated a positive and statistically significant relationship between self-confidence and analytical thinking skills (r = .416, p = .002), indicating that students with higher self-confidence tended to demonstrate stronger analytical thinking skills. The study concludes that self-confidence is moderately associated with the development of analytical thinking in elementary mathematics. These findings extend the literature on the relationship between affective and cognitive dimensions of mathematics learning and are consistent with Bandura’s theoretical proposition that beliefs in personal capability influence cognitive performance. Practically, the results suggest that teachers should cultivate supportive learning environments through discussion, collaboration, and problem-based activities that strengthen students’ confidence and analytical engagement. Further research should involve larger and more diverse samples and examine additional variables, including learning motivation, learning styles, and instructional models.
Sriyasa Sriyasa, Mariyam Mariyam, Rien Anitra ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6547 Sun, 01 Nov 2026 00:00:00 +0800 Digitalisasi Takhrij Hadis Bil Maudhu’: Analisis Metodologis Penggunaan Hadits.id https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6548
The development of digital technology has transformed hadith studies, particularly the takhrij al-hadith bi al-mawdu‘ method, from manual searches through thematic index books to digital searches using platforms such as Hadits.id. Although digitalization facilitates hadith searches, studies concerning methodological changes and the opportunities and challenges associated with its use in contemporary hadith studies still require further investigation. This study aimed to analyze the methodological transformation of takhrij al-hadith bi al-mawdu‘ from manual to digital methods and to examine the opportunities and challenges of using digital platforms in contemporary hadith studies. This study employed a qualitative approach using library research. Data were obtained through the examination of books, scholarly articles, journals, and digital platforms related to hadith takhrij methods. The results showed that the digitalization of hadith takhrij increased the convenience, efficiency, and accessibility of thematic hadith searches. However, the use of digital platforms also presents methodological challenges, including dependence on keyword accuracy, limitations in sanad analysis, and the potential oversimplification of hadith interpretation. This study affirms that digital platforms should be positioned as supporting instruments that complement, rather than replace, classical takhrij methods. These findings contribute to the development of digital hadith study methodologies and provide practical implications for researchers in integrating technological efficiency with rigorous sanad analysis and a comprehensive understanding of hadith.
Moh Nailul Muna, Syaharani Elistya Hafidz, Ai Hilwah Mumtazah, Ibnu Haris, Rafi Zakiansyah Effendi ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6548 Sun, 01 Nov 2026 00:00:00 +0800 The Effect of the Think Pair Share Cooperative Learning Model Assisted by TTS on Participation and Cognitive Learning Outcomes https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6552
Despite the potential of cooperative learning to improve science instruction, limited evidence exists regarding the use of Think–Pair–Share supported by crossword puzzles to enhance student participation and cognitive learning outcomes. This study evaluates the effects of this instructional model on both outcomes using a quantitative quasi-experimental approach with a pretest–posttest control-group design. Participants comprised 28 students in the experimental group and 22 in the control group, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a student participation questionnaire and cognitive pretests and posttests and analyzed through an independent-samples t-test and normalized gain (N-Gain) analysis. The findings show that student participation in the experimental group reached 81.29%, classified as exceptional. The analysis also yielded a significance value of .018 (< .05), while the experimental group achieved a higher N-Gain score (0.67) than the control group (0.53). These results indicate that crossword puzzle-assisted Think–Pair–Share positively affects student participation and cognitive learning outcomes. The study contributes to science education by demonstrating the value of integrating cooperative learning with interactive instructional media and provides practical support for teachers seeking to implement more engaging and innovative classroom strategies.
Neng Sholihat, Ratna Susanti, Berry Kurnia Vilmala, Hadi Purwanto, Defrizal Hamka, Agusminarti Agusminarti ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6552 Sun, 01 Nov 2026 00:00:00 +0800 Literasi Algoritmik sebagai Benteng Radikalisme Digital: Reorientasi Pendidikan Islam di Era Artificial Intelligence https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6632
Developments in artificial intelligence (AI) and social media algorithms are reshaping the dissemination of religious information while presenting challenges related to misinformation, intolerance, and digital radicalism. This study aimed to analyze the role of algorithmic literacy in addressing the risks of digital radicalism and propose directions for reorienting Islamic education in the AI era. The study employed a literature review method with content analysis. Scholarly sources were gathered through literature searches and selection, then analyzed according to the themes of algorithmic literacy, exposure to digital content, digital radicalism, and Islamic education. The synthesis identified algorithmic recommendation mechanisms, filter bubbles and echo chambers, the dissemination of provocative narratives, and inadequate information verification as factors that may increase the risk of exposure to intolerant and radical content. Algorithmic literacy encompasses an understanding of recommendation mechanisms, awareness of information bias, and the ability to evaluate the credibility and context of religious sources. Within Islamic education, its development can be integrated with the principle of tabayyun, the values of wasathiyah and tasamuh, and the cultivation of moral conduct in digital environments. The proposed instructional strategies include case analysis, source verification, critical discussion, and reflection on religious information circulating in digital spaces. This review offers directions for reorienting Islamic education by connecting technological understanding, critical evaluation of information, and ethical responsibility in digital religious practices. Algorithmic literacy is presented as a potential preventive approach to supporting critical, moderate, and responsible Islamic education. Accordingly, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers, madrasah and pesantren administrators, and policymakers may consider integrating it into instructional strategies and curriculum development. However, because the findings derive from a synthesis of the literature, the effectiveness of this approach in directly preventing digital radicalism still requires empirical testing.
Salma Kusuma Listiani, Septia Rosada, Siti Anisa Al Maulani, Muhlisin Muhlisin, Abul Mafaakhir ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.ipn.ac.id/index.php/palapa/article/view/6632 Sun, 01 Nov 2026 00:00:00 +0800
