Bullying in the elementary school environment is a serious problem that affects students’ psychological, social, and academic development, thus requiring effective preventive intervention from an early stage. This community service activity aims to increase students’ awareness and empathy in preventing bullying behavior through a contextual and participatory outreach program. This activity used a descriptive qualitative approach conducted at SDN 02 Tegalmade as part of the Praktek Kerja Nyata (PKN) program. The activity was implemented through outreach based on interactive PowerPoint media combined with lecture, discussion, and empathy-based simulation methods. Data were collected through observation, simple interviews, and documentation. The results showed an increase in students’ understanding of the definition, types, and impacts of bullying, as well as the development of empathy and social concern toward their peers. Students also showed positive responses with active participation throughout the activity. These findings affirm that the empathy-based anti-bullying outreach program is effective in building students’ awareness and prosocial behavior and contributes to the creation of a safer, more inclusive, and supportive school environment. This activity provides practical implications for strengthening character education and bullying prevention in elementary schools through a contextual participatory approach.

Keywords: Bullying; Empathy; Student Awareness; Elementary School; Character Education
Muhammad Nur Ridhwan Sari FuddinIsfihani IsfihaniMuhammad Syamil Al JundiErfian Rafi KurniawanHilman Aziz AwaluddinReza Ahmad Hani SaputroRizal Al MuthoriqUsamah MuhammadAbdullah Dzaky NajahHendra PrasetyaAbdullah Azzam

Although public participation in understanding public policy and government dynamics is an important indicator of democratic development, public political literacy still faces challenges, particularly in understanding the direction of government policies and their implications for social, economic, and political life. This community service activity aims to provide political education and strengthen public political literacy through a public dialogue themed “Understanding the Prabowo-Gibran Government Transformation Strategy from the Perspective of People-Oriented Nationalism.” The activity was held on June 1, 2026, in Mataram City and involved 65 participants consisting of students, academics, cadres of community and political organizations, and the general public. The implementation methods included interactive lectures, participatory dialogue, panel discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. Activity evaluation was conducted through participatory observation and a Google Form questionnaire based on a 1–5 Likert scale completed by 56 participants. The evaluation results showed that 88% of participants understood the concept of people-oriented nationalism after participating in the activity, 91% considered public dialogue effective as a medium for political education, and 93% stated their willingness to participate in similar activities in the future. The findings of this activity indicate that public dialogue can create a participatory, critical, and constructive space for political education in understanding public policy. The implications of this activity emphasize the importance of the role of higher education institutions as agents of public political education in strengthening democracy, political literacy, and public participation on an ongoing basis.
Sadrul ImamDwi Tesna AndiniSartika Hijriati

Rotating savings associations (arisan) constitute a growing social and economic activity in communities, including among members of Majelis Taklim Jorong Palupuh. However, preliminary observations indicated that participants’ understanding of Sharia-compliant principles and governance of rotating savings associations remained limited, particularly regarding fairness, transparency, trustworthiness, members’ rights and obligations, and fund management. This community service activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and understanding of Majelis Taklim Jorong Palupuh members regarding the concepts and principles of Sharia-compliant rotating savings association management and their ability to apply them in daily activities. The activity was conducted on June 26, 2026, in Jorong Palupuh, Palupuh Subdistrict, Agam Regency, and involved 20 Majelis Taklim members. The implementation method employed an educational and participatory approach through material presentation, interactive discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and simulations of contribution recording, fund management, and the allocation of members’ rights and obligations. Evaluation was conducted through questions administered before and after the educational activity, observation, brief interviews, and documentation. Quantitative data were analyzed by comparing percentages, whereas qualitative data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that participants’ mean level of understanding increased from 60% before the educational activity to 88% afterward. Improvements were also observed in participants’ understanding of Sharia-compliant rotating savings associations, the principles of fairness and transparency, and members’ rights and obligations. These findings indicate that an educational-participatory approach can improve participants’ understanding of Sharia-compliant rotating savings association governance. This activity contributes to strengthening Islamic financial literacy in the community and can serve as a practical educational model for community groups seeking to manage rotating savings associations fairly, transparently, and responsibly.
Salsa BillaEdi Rosman
